You are the father of my kids

30 January, 2008 1 comment

A guy goes to the supermarket and notices an attractive woman waving at him.She says hello.

He’s rather taken aback because he can’t place where he knows her from.

So he says, ‘Do you know me?’ To which she replies, ‘I think you’re the father of one of my kids.’

Now his mind travels back to the only time he has ever been unfaithful to his wife and says, ‘Are you the stripper from the bachelor party that I made love to on the pool table with all my buddies watching while your partner whipped my butt with wet celery?’

She looks into his eyes and says calmly, ‘No, I’m your son’s teacher‘.

Thanks Norman for this joke! Made my day.. so far.

Honestly I feel that the pictures themselves are great, just that the colors are a bit off.

Creative Commons dictate that the pictures themselves can be posted on the net as long as the structure of the photograph is preserved. As such, I did a split screen ‘before and after’ on the pictures to show what it could have been (showing off) and how the originals looked like. This I believe is accepted under the T&C.

Click on the thumbnails below to view the full picture (fully modified, no split screen).

QTrax Music Portal

28 January, 2008 2 comments

I never thought ‘free’ and ‘legal’ music would be possible in the same sentence. Now what about ‘free’, ‘legal’, and ‘P2P’?

So here’s the deal:

Qtrax is the worlds first, 100% legal and free P2P music application.
Qtrax works directly with record labels and publishers, licensing their content for distribution online. When you download and play music the support of advertisers allows Qtrax to compensate artists for their work. There’s no cost to download and use the software, there’s no hidden charges, membership fees, or per song costs.

News is that Qtrax had signed up ALL Major labels for this and it’s going to be big. The player is available for download at midnight EST and once you got it, use it like iTunes and search for music like your grandfather owns all of it. Once you find your fancy just download it and it’s done.

DRM is provided by Microsoft so the tunes would run on Windows as well as PlayForSure players. I only know Creative brand of MP3 players supports it, check for yours.

Ok, the catch to all these goodies is: A little bar of ads at the top position on the player itself (where in the screenshot ^ it says “Search, Download and Play”). That’s all. Hopefully you’d click on it from time to time so that the advertisers can pay Qtrax and they in turn can pay the labels.

I don’t have to say this but THIS IS NOT a paid ad for Qtrax! It’s purely for the benefits of you pirates!

;)

Update: If you are not on friendly terms with Google and cannot do a simple search for “QTrax”, then at least try adding a .com suffix to it, like qtrax.com for example, for the official site.
