Drama Queen

21 September, 2009 Leave a comment

Just heard someone talking to her friend where the entire conversation is in 3rd person perspective. Not to mention one way with the other friend nodding off.

Imagine this:

I’m like <describe desire to go out> and he’s like <describes desires to stay at home> so I’m like <profanity> you! Why can’t he listens to me for a change!

No wonder he’s not listening to you!
You can’t string a sentence to save yourself if needed be.

My observation tells me the speaker is a drama queen, perfectly fine in writing scripts because they live by the rule of separating dialogue and actions from the scenes.

Sample drama script:

ACTOR1 say: “<describes desire to go out>”. ACTOR2 looks at you in all tiredness and says :"<describes desire to stay at home>”. ACTOR1 appears angry, frowns forehead and shouts:"<profanity> you! Why don’t you listen to me for a change!”

The fact that termites exist proves without a doubt that the big flood is a bunch of crap.

I read this somewhere:

Knowledge is useless; money is power

To that I countered:

Without knowledge; your power will soon be my money

Seperating business execs during travel

It was a bittersweet feeling for the families of the crashed Air France jet to finally find closure to their doubts as to what really happened to the jet.

Ever since the plane debris is found, while waiting for the official report as to what actually happened on the way from France to Brazil, all’s left is to pick up the pieces of their live and move on.

Reading through the papers I can’t help notice that the passenger list contains a list of business executives and their assistants from companies around the world.

This reminds me of the many rules and restrictions limiting how company partners travel for work and leisure.

If not mistaken, partners of the firm from the same department is forbidden to travel in the same vehicle be it plane, bus or even cars. Likewise, if there is more than 3 partners or directors (from any department) the same rule applies. Breaking up the group would ensure the operation of the company would not be adversely affected by any disaster that should befall them.

This is also why on a recent trip downtown for a meeting, the 2 partners had to drive themselves to the venue even when the 4 of us can comfortably fit in and car pool.

Little things like this come into play when the continuity of the firm is at risk should disaster were to happen and should be best practiced by everyone.
